Episode 3: The Boy in the Box
In episode 3 we see the detectives face one of their most difficult cases as they work against the clock to uncover the truth behind the tragic death of "The Boy in the Box." This infamous case involved the unsolved murder of a young boy who was found naked and battered in a cardboard box in Philadelphia in 1957.
The case especially takes a toll on Russo, as he still suffers emotional flashbacks from the loss of his little brother. All he sees is his brother's eyes as he looks into the eyes of the corpse. His emotional involvement in the case causes him to make some risky moves. He roughs up one of the suspects to get some answers, but is stopped by Fairchild who reminds him that his brother would not want him to live a life full of regret.
As if this case wasn't overwhelming enough, Fairchild begins to develop symptoms of sickness from the strenuous time travel journeys. After a series of tests, Dr. Ledhouse discovers that her body is beginning to build an immunity against the elixir. Will the doc find a way to save Fairchild before her symptoms get any worse? Tune in Thursday night to find out.
